Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS).

What is the ADOS?

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, or ADOS for short, is one of the assessment tools we use as part of the overall Autism assessment process.  The assessment is designed to assess the social communication, interaction and play of those suspected of having autism. It has many different activities that are made to suit people of different developmental and language levels.

Bambini Allied Health is excited to offer a multidisciplinary autism assessment delivered by an Occupational Therapist and Psychologist. The assessment will provide a collaborative and thorough analysis of the presence of Autism Spectrum Disorder and associated diagnoses. We will be offering this service to pre-verbal (no younger than 3) to adults.

Our comprehensive assessment can include:

·      ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)

·      ADI-R (Austin Diagnostic Interview-Revised)

·      MIGDAS-2 (Monterio  Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum)

·      Sensory Profile

·      Vineland-3

·      Connors-4 – if required

An ADOS assessment is needed in order to confirm a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. It can also be used to rule out a diagnosis and provide evidence for other social communication difficulties. The ADOS provides information on a lot of different areas of social communication, this can help people in the future recognise the child's/adults strengths and weaknesses when providing them with support.

We can support families with the next steps accessing NDIS, or other funding/ programs they may be able access.

Please contact our client care team in order to enquire or discuss further information regarding the ADOS.
